Objectives
The objectives of the libraries are based on the objectives of the University itself. These library objectives are:
- To support the instructional programs of the university.
- To secure, organize and service books, periodicals, documents and other library materials used in the instructional and research programs.
- To provide physical facilities and equipment that will make possible the most effective use of library resources.
- To instruct students in the effective and efficient use of the library and of library materials.
- To assist and cooperate with faculty members in their instructional and research programs.
- To encourage extra curricular use of library materials.
- To cooperate with other libraries in the community and elsewhere in building total library resources and in making them available to users.
- To encourage students to develop the habit of reading in order that books and libraries may contribute to their intellectual development in future years.
- To provide bibliographical services to faculty members and students.
- To preserve the rare book collection and other library materials such as the university publications.
- To serve as depository of knowledge.
- To provide internet service inside the library.
